Walter Robinson is a New York painter and art critic. In 2019 he had exhibitions at Johannes Vogt in New York, Pure Joy in Marfa and Charlie James in Los Angeles. Robinson has also shown his paintings at Jeffrey Deitch in NYC, Galerie Bertrand in Geneva, Stems Gallery in Brussels, Inna Art Space in Hangzhou, China, and Vito Schnabel in St. Moritz, Switzerland. In 2017 his work was included in “Fast Forward: Work from the 1980s” at the Whitney Museum. As a critic, Robinson was founding editor of Artnet Magazine, and also wrote on art for Art in America, Artspace.com, the East Village Eye and the Observer.
