“One of a series of eight colorized cartoon silkscreen prints premiered in a New York Gallery exhibition in 1985 followed by several other shows in Chicago, Dallas, Seattle, and Tokyo. Micky Mao was a popular Item and only as all handful remain.”
My professional experience, uniting the worlds of film , photography, cartooning and design goes back close to fifty years. is includes dozens of independent short films as well as commissioned work for Sesame Street and others since 1975. I took the populist route for sharing my work and have maintained an active art/entrepreneurial enterprise producing and distributing a wide variety art related fully functional products. These include everything from postcards and rubber stamps, to shirts and wrapping paper. They ave be sold throughout the US as well as Europe, Japan and Australia. More recently I produced a number of silkscreen and digital editions that have been included in single person and group exhibitions. I have a long standing love of American pop culture and it remains a consistent theme throughout my work.
