Sophie Kitching (b. 1990) is a French-British visual artist living and working in New York. Based on her reaction to the environment and to spaces, she employs existing and found materials, which she assembles in ways that differ from their everyday use. Through painting and installation, Sophie Kitching explores landscape and the problematic of its representation at the border of abstraction.
