VU is pleased to present an exhibition by one of our Gallery Partners ,The Cronin Gallery. Kickin’ it Old School is  a retrospective exhibition featuring a sampling of works created in the 1990s  by New Paltz, New York based, Artist Ryan Cronin. A prolific period for Cronin, the 90’s marked the emergence of what would become his signature style of creating bold, large-scale paintings  using Rustoleum paint on wooden boards, giving his work their uncommon heft and trademark glossy finish. Part homage, part love story, this show was the brain-child of Melanie Cronin, Ryan’s wife and business partner. A chance encounter on social media with a long-time fan, inspired Melanie to gather some significant work from private collections and bring it back “home” for showcasing in the recently renovated gallery space. The crisp white walls, industrial concrete flooring, and museum-quality lighting breathe new life into these pieces as they hang alongside more recent work, creating a full-circle moment that speaks to Cronin’s evolution as an artist. The paintings are all on loan from private collections. The CronArtUSA team was able to use this opportunity to document and bring these the paintings for the first time.  Kickin’ It Old School will run through early March. The original painting , UNTITLED,  1994, is being offered as a private sale. The prints are available in two sizes: 30 x 30 in. limited to an edition off only 30 and a 10 x 10 in. unlimited edition signed by the artist (contact us for information on the unlimited edition) As with all of our sales on the platform, VU will donate a portion of our proceeds to one of our benefit partners.
