Multi-media artist Ingrid Roe graduated with a BA and an MFA in Studio Arts from Hunter College, New York.  She had previously completed an apprenticeship in layout design at PNN, Berlin, Germany.

Roe’s works reflect on conditional realities and power dynamics in society and nature. She rejects generalities and instead looks for details that allow for new perspectives and bring hidden meaning or consequences from background to foreground.  Media and form are determined by the subject.

Ingrid’s media include photography, painting, performance, video, and light installations.

Roe is an Adjunct Instructor at the School of Visual Arts, New York, and lives and works in New York City.
