This painting was inspired by that morning cup of coffee. It’s a multitude of senses in one; aromatic, bold, energizing, hot & rich. I was mesmerized by the bubbles on the surface and how this morning ritual can spawn the ideas and direction of the day. I played with interior color to convey this percolation of ideas – see what I did there? A “wishbone” is represented on a larger scale to compete with the gather of bubbles and the strength it gives in numbers and its sense of unity.
